Welcome to the website of Cheshire Cat Consulting Limited. We are a Learning & Development organisation focused on delivering the most effective and innovative programs for our partners and clients. Our approach ensures we achieve desired outcomes through interactive and experiential practices.
We look forward to working with you.
Cheshire Cat Consulting pride themselves on offering a boutique and customised service on a large scale. We design and deliver our training programs specific to the requirements of our clients.
Our programs are designed using the most effective and innovative methodologies on the market.
We utilise experiential approaches as well as game-based learning practices to ensure participants are active, engaged and therefore more likely to retain and implement learnings.
We believe we bring a personal touch to a professional service.
The role of a leader within a team, department or organisation has evolved over time.
Cheshire Cat Consulting has worked with a number of organisations and identified key performance characteristics of successful leaders. We have studied theories and case studies, worked with tools and models and believe we now offer an approach to leadership development rarely replicated elsewhere.
Leadership to CCC is about empowerment, support and emotional connectivity as much as it is leading by example.
We believe in providing not only tools and templates for leadership but provide the emotional connectivity for leaders to realise their passions, their strengths (and areas to work on) and their reasons for leading. By doing this we support leaders to operate at their best.
CCC are based in Hong Kong and, as such, witness first hand the inclusiveness of multiculturalism and the embrace of diversity. We also witness instances of cultural exclusion or oppression and so much of our work has focused on the advocacy of pro-D&I programs.
Having worked with organisations on topics of gender, unconscious bias, bullying, harassment as well as with the community on issues of refugee status and immigration, identity, sexual violence and trafficking, we believe our programs have crossed a wide spectrum.
CCC focus on creating inclusive content that tackles serious subject matter whilst retaining a light touch and engaging experience.
We also have exclusive rights to a number of programs that specifically focus on D&I.
Our innovative and experiential approach to Learning & Development is perfectly suited to supporting the advancement of the next generation of leaders.
Our research and experience in the industry identified that many organisations focus their time, effort and resources on supporting existing leaders, whilst we believe the most receptive and effective training is often with those looking to make the next step in their careers.
With programs like our immersive business simulations and tools like our coaching models, we provide an effective stepping stone for both individuals and their organisations in creating the next generation of leaders.
Experiential Learning is an often misused or misunderstood term in the L&D industry. For us, its core meaning is to learn and develop through doing and reflecting.
Quite often, we repeat this process in a number of different ways to appeal to people who learn in different ways, be it visual, aural, social, physical or in other ways.
We almost always utilise experiential approaches to our programs as, like many, we simply find the ‘death by powerpoint’ approach to be all too real. We also like ourselves and our participants to enjoy themselves whilst learning.
Each of our experiential approaches offer key learnings and takeaways.
Role/Real/Live Playing is a core component of many of our programs. Expanding on the notion of Corporate Role Playing, we have identified the value of creating scenarios for our participants to ‘practice what we preach’.
After engaging in our tools, models and frameworks, we provide the participants with opportunities to test their abilities in one of the three areas most suitable to the learning.
Role Playing - More akin to traditional corporate role playing, we introduce scenarios where role players inhabit a ‘character’ with whom the participant will interact in an environment as close to their real ones as possible. This may be a conversation, negotiation, sale or complaint with perhaps a client, customer or interested party among others. The participants will, for all intents and purposes, believe the role player to be an authentic client/customer/interested party.
Real Playing - Removing the pretence of authenticity, Real Playing is similar to the above but with the caveat that the participant knows the client/customer/etc is not authentic. This approach allows for interruptions/feedback/builds or amendments in the moment. This is useful where it is perhaps not expected for the participant to be incorporating their learnings perfectly at that time.
Live Playing - A more innovative approach, Live Playing allows for the Facilitator and Role Player to engage with the participants to create the most useful scenarios/characters and environments in the moment. This is particularly useful when trying to create specific scenarios that an individual may deal with.
Our values of developing people is not limited to working with corporates. We often engage with communities both locally and internationally to utilise our skillsets to support social change.
Whether we develop leaders of non-profits or the community so that they can create further successful advancements in their field, or if we use one of our strategic thinking models to convene multi-sector participants to reach new ways of thinking, we are always open to seeing how our work can support our global community.
We have worked within corporates to advance their CSR efforts, with education systems to identify new approaches to enacting change, with governments to increase their awareness and voice in the community among others.
CCC believe in our Head, Heart, System and Body approach to people development. Enquiries for Sales Training often connect with the ‘Head’ element - ‘Can you give us some tools to get our sales people to increase performance?’
We have found that engaging the ‘Heart’ questions - ‘Can you help our sales team identify their passion for their work? What are effective ways to connect with their customers?’ is just as important.
Our Sales Training is called Sales Transformation as our approach is just that, Transformative.
We look to further the core skills of sales teams, whilst upskilling them with the soft skills to make their talents more effective.
At CCC we are typically approached with a specific change or outcome that a client has in mind. We of course work with the client to achieve this, but also note that sometimes the change or outcome is not the real desire of the client.
We apply Strategic Thinking models to ascertain what the most effective change will be, whether it is then a learning that we then design and deliver, or simply allow the client to identify the change themselves, Strategic Thinking is an effective and powerful tool for Learning & Development.
We have harnessed a number of different approaches as, in our experience, different teams, organisations and even industries respond more effectively to different processes.
